This style of exercise is new to the West. This authentic style of yoga combines multiple lineages of Yoga. Powerful beyond words, the basic approach is relatively simple: use breath and mudra and asana to open the meridians and remove all blocks.
In terms of the exercises, Shakti Naam is different than traditional Naam Yoga. With a heavy emphasis on breath and stretching within asanas, Naam Shakti focuses on opening the meridians, expanding lung capacity, stretching the subtle body, healing the mind and neutralizing the Body of Pain. From the perspective of a teacher, Naam Shakti is also very different than Naam Yoga, with different set of skills/poses/asanas/breaths, a completely different structure, and an altogether different feeling both for teacher and student.
Beyond that, it is crucial that teachers who teach Naam Shakti are trained in correct Technique, Alignment and Injury Prevention for the safety of their students. That way your students can have an experience that is truly "naamazing!"

This course is split into two parts. Part 1 is an online course which allows convenient participation and does not require any travel arrangements. Part 2 is an in person training. In order to become certified you must complete both Part 1 & Part 2.
